A 31-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Mississauga early Saturday morning.

Around 4:30 a.m., a blue Infinity G35 was going south on Central Parkway East, south of Eglinton Avenue East, when it collided with a light post.

The passenger died at the scene. The 21-year-old driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have arrested the driver for allegedly having a blood-alcohol level in excess of the legal limit and say further charges are pending.

They are asking any witnesses or anyone with video of the incident to call them.
