A building superintendent is facing more charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a young girl and a boy multiple times.

The incidents allegedly happened while he worked as the building superintendent at 12 Rockford Road.

According to police, Barry Strangeways, 42, of Toronto, was arrested on Aug. 13 after it was reported that he had sexually assaulted a young girl multiple times over the period of four years.

He charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching and indecent exposure to a person under 16.

Strangeways was released on bail three days later.

He was arrested again on Aug. 21 and charged with more sex offences after allegations surfaced that he had also sexually assaulted a boy.

It was reported that between 2013 and 2016, Strangeways befriended a boy who was between 11 and 14 at the time.

During that time the two spent a “significant amount of time together” and it’s alleged that the boy was sexually assaulted on multiple occasions.

Police said over the past 16 years, Strangeways has worked as a building superintendent at three locations in the city — 4750 Jane Street (2003 to 2008), 2911 Bayview Avenue (2008 to 2012) and 12 Rockford Road (2012 to present).
