Driver arrested after man, 82, killed in hit-and-run on Saturday

A 54-year-old Toronto man has been arrested and charged after a man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run over the weekend.

Toronto police said an 82-year-old man was struck by a vehicle in the underground lot near Don Mills Road and Graydon Hall Drive, near York Mills Road, sometime before 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The man suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Tuesday, Paul Veenhop was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in bodily harm or death.

Police also seized a vehicle believed to have been used in the hit-and-run.
