Toronto police’s homicide unit is investigating after a woman in her 70s was found dead in Regent Park.
Police found the woman, who had obvious signs of trauma, in an apartment building at Cornwall and River Streets, near Dundas Street East, around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they initially received a call for a medical complaint.
One person was taken into custody.
This is the city’s 70th homicide of 2018.
