Man dead, 16-year-old arrested after shooting near Old Weston and St. Clair

A 65-year-old man is dead after a shooting in Toronto’s Stockyards District on Saturday.
Police were called to the Toronto West Flea Market, near Old Weston Road and St. Clair Avenue West, around 3:30 p.m.
Witnesses say the man was a fixture at the flea market and was shot inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Rocco Scavetta, an employee of the flea market.
Homicide detective Michelle Campbell said a 16-year-old suspect has been arrested and a weapon has been recovered. They are not looking for any more suspects. The youth cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The homicide unit is investigating.
