By News staff

It is not exactly the weather conditions you’d expect for the return to work and school after the Thanksgiving long weekend.

The GTA was treated to a very warm day on Tuesday with a humidex that made it feel more like August than October.

It was a foggy day to to start, but the advisory has since been lifted. However, the temperatures continued to climb

The high reached 28.6 degrees at 3 p.m. which surpasses the record set back in 1949 of 28.3 degrees.

The rest of the day will be cloudy with sunny breaks and a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.

The humidity will continue into Wednesday with humidex values near 32.

Cooler air returns on Thursday with more comfortable temperatures in the high teens. By Friday, the high will be near 10 C.
