Man dies from injuries sustained in Moss Park assault, another charged

A 47-year-old man has died from his injuries sustained in an assault in the Moss Park area last Friday.
Police say they were called to Queen Street East and Sherbourne Street around 3:30 p.m. to reports of unknown trouble.
Officers found a man suffering from serious trauma. He was taken to hospital where he later died of his injuries.
Toronto paramedics told CityNews at the time of the incident the man had been allegedly punched in the face, but was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim has been identified as Paul Tonya of Toronto.
His cause of death has not been revealed and a post-mortem has not been scheduled.
Trevor Clarke, 45, also of Toronto was arrested at the time of the incident and has been charged with manslaughter.
He appeared in court on Monday.
This is Toronto’s 91st homicide of 2018.
