Arkansas quarterback Cole Kelley to transfer

By The Associated Press

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas quarterback Cole Kelley has announced he will transfer. But the redshirt sophomore did not say on Twitter where he will go.

Kelley did not travel to games at Mississippi State and Missouri and finished the year as a scout team tight end. He had a 3-3 record in six starts the past two years.

Last season, he filled in for the injured Austin Allen midway through the schedule and led the team to wins against Ole Miss and Coastal Carolina.

He opened this season as the starter, but Ty Storey ended up starting nine of the 12 games. Kelley finished the season with 455 yards passing with five touchdowns and five interceptions. He also rushed for 73 yards and three scores.
