Woman struck in Mississauga, 3 pedestrians killed in the GTA in under 6 hours

A 63-year-old woman has been killed after being struck by a vehicle in Mississauga, the third pedestrian to die in the GTA in under six hours on Tuesday.

Police were called to Erindale Station Road and Dundas Street around 7:45 p.m..

The female pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Two other pedestrians were killed on GTA streets on Tuesday. A 79-year-old woman died after being struck by vacuum truck in Malton around 2 p.m. and a man in his 60s was hit by a vehicle in Scarborough around 7:30 p.m.
