Boil water advisory for Milton lifted

By News Staff

The boil water advisory for parts of Milton has been lifted.

The Medical Officer of Health for Halton Region says tests have confirmed that the water is safe to drink again.

As a precaution, they are asking residents to run cold water for a minimum of one minute, remove and clean all screens and aerators on taps as well as drain all ice-making machines and soda fountain machines.

“Any facilities that were closed as a result of the advisory can now reopen after taking the necessary precautions,” read the statement posted just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday night.

The boil water advisory was issued Friday night due to a watermain break in the region.
