Harm reduction worker facing assault charges after allegedly injecting woman

A 49-year-old harm reduction worker is facing assault charges after being accused of administering a noxious substance.
Police say a 65-year-old woman claims she was assaulted numerous times between October 30 and December 6 by a man at a residence in Regent Park. The woman says when she went to sleep he injected her with an unknown substance.
Marty Behim, who also goes by the names Marty MacKay and Marty Behm, is facing six charges including two counts of assault, assault with a weapon and administering a noxious substance.
Police say Behim works for the South Riverdale Community Health Centre, dealing with vulnerable people, some of whom as dependent on drug treatment.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
