Worker killed by falling object at construction site near Kennedy and Steeles
A worker believed to be in his 20s has died after an industrial accident near Kennedy Road and Steeles Avenue.
Paramedics were called to the construction site at Kennedy and Passmore Avenue just before 3 p.m. Monday. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
The victim reportedly was moving items onto a vehicle and sustained injuries due to an excavator bucket. His reported employer was GFL Environmental.

Meanwhile, police say another worker has been injured in an industrial accident near the Port Lands.
A man in his 20s suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries at a site near Leslie Street and Unwin Avenue. Police say he was struck by an object.
The Ministry of Labour has been called into investigate both incidents.
