A secondary school teacher and coach with the York Catholic District School Board has been charged with sexual assault stemming from incidents at parties in December of 2017 and 2018.

York police began an investigation on Dec. 22 when a victim contacted officers and said he had been allegedly sexually assaulted at a party by a man he had known for several years.

Another victim had also reported he had been sexually assaulted by the suspect at a party in December 2017.

Anthony Ganuelas, 36, of Markham has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

Investigators ask any with any further information to contact police as they won’t to ensure there are no other alleged victims.
