A 15-year-old is facing charges after a single-vehicle crash that injured two people in Brampton.

The crash happened on Highway 410 near Derry Road around 1 a.m. Thursday.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then hit a concrete wall.

The driver fled the scene of the crash but was picked up a short time later by police.

A 16-year-old passenger was rushed to hospital with life-altering back injuries.

An 18-year-old passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The 18-year-old was also taken into custody and is being held on bail on existing robbery charges.

Northbound 410 was closed from Derry to Steeles Avenue for most of the overnight while police investigated.
