Carport fire spreads to home in Scarborough

No injuries were reported after a fire that began in a carport spread to a home in Scarborough.
Emergency crews were called to Danforth Road near Eglinton Avenue East just before 1 p.m. on Friday.
When they arrived, firefighters found skids and pallets burning and a nearby sofa on fire.
The blaze had also spread inside the home and to the roof.
It was knocked down shortly after fire crews arrived, but they remain on the scene to combat hot spots.
Investigators have been called in to determine what caused the blaze.
