Police have charged a 44-year-old Mississauga man with the sexual assault of a girl more than two decades ago.

The victim, now a woman in her 30s, reported the assault to Peel police on Friday.

She said in the summer of 1998, when she was a student at a martial arts centre in Mississauga’s Park Royal neighbourhood, a karate instructor sexually assaulted her three separate times.

Police arrested Amanullah Yousufy at 8 p.m. Friday and charged him with sexual assault and sexual interference.

He was due in court for a bail hearing on Saturday

Investigators are asking witnesses or anyone with information about the alleged incidents to call them.
