Police have charged a 27-year-old Toronto woman who allegedly hit two police vehicles and an officer in Mississauga while trying to flee in a stolen Jeep.

Around 1 p.m. Friday, police were investigating a report of a stolen Jeep Wrangler in a parking lot near Tomken Road and Eglinton Avenue East.

They say Michelle Garcia-Arguello tried to escape by driving through the lot and hit two police vehicles, an officer and a cube van, causing significant damage.

Paramedics took the officer and Garcia-Arguello to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Police arrested Garcia-Arguello and charged her with several offences including possession of stolen property, dangerous operation causing bodily harm and flight from police.

She was due to appear in court in Brampton for a bail hearing on Saturday.
