A 25-year-old man has been arrested after shots rang out a Danforth bar early Sunday morning.

Toronto police say they received several calls just after 2 a.m. reporting several gunshots at Rivals Sports Bar near Carlaw Avenue.

Witnesses on the scene reported a fight was happening shortly before a gun was fired. No one was injured in the incident.

Officers say the suspect fled the scene, but he was later found and arrested.

Joshua Maier-McKenzie, of Toronto, is also facing several charges related to an attempted murder investigation and a domestic assault investigation.

Maier-McKenzie was wanted for in connection with a shooting at Sherbourne and Dundas Streets in which a man suffered a serious, but non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The alleged domestic violence incident happened on Jan. 31, but no further details have been made available.

He has been charged with attempted murder and assault along with several weapons charges and appeared in court on Sunday morning.
