Another day of TTC delays during rush hour

By News staff

The commute home Thursday evening was a rough one for TTC riders and if that wasn’t bad enough, the trip in to work on Friday morning was also painful.

Just before 7 a.m. Friday, the TTC said there were delays on Line 1 between Bloor-Yonge and Finch stations because of a signal program at Davisville Station. Regular service resumed around 10:45 a.m.

The commute was also a stressful one on Thursday. Around 3 p.m., service on Line 2 was halted between Keele and Jane stations due to injury on the tracks. Service resumed just after 5 p.m.

The situation at Keele caused the station to be overflowed with riders, especially on the platform.

The overcrowding issue came on the same day that Toronto Fire laid charges against the City of Toronto and Bondfield Construction following a dangerous overcrowding incident last December at Union Station.
