Pug-chihuahua mix Chico found safe

Toronto police say a black pug-chihuahua mix that was stolen around two weeks ago has been found safe.

Chico the dog went missing on Feb. 24 after the owner left him unattended, tied to a fence in the area of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue.

Police say the owner left Chico alone for less than a minute and when he returned, the dog was gone.

Police say the dog was located safe and in good health on Saturday around 8:30 p.m.

No further details were released about where or with whom the dog was found.
