Police searching for vehicle in Brampton hit-and-run

By News Staff

A 21-year-old man is fighting for his life following an apparent hit-and-run in Brampton early Sunday morning.

Peel Regional Police say the incident occurred in the southbound lanes of West Drive between Orenda Road and Clark Boulevard just after 4:30 a.m.

Police say the pedestrian was on the roadway at the time of the crash in what is predominantly an industrial area, however, it’s uncertain at this time if they were crossing the road at the time of the incident.

Paramedics say they treated and transported one person to a Toronto trauma centre with critical injuries.

Police say the vehicle failed to remain at the scene. They are looking for a beige-coloured small compact car with possible damage to its front end.
