Three people are in custody after a group of individuals ransacked a pizza shop in the Queen Street East area.

Police responded to a call for “damage in progress” in the Queen Street East and Berkeley Street area around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.

An employee tells CityNews at least three individuals were allegedly throwing rocks at a window before proceeding inside the pizza place and began throwing other objects around the store.

One female and two males were taken into custody. Police say one of the males is a youth under 18. They will be charged with mischief over $5,000.

Police say they are looking for two to three other suspects who fled the scene.

The group were not believed to be part of any post-Raptors celebration in the downtown core.
