Mississauga schools under hold and secure for ‘threat’ investigation

Peel regional police say four Mississauga schools in the Thomas Street and Found Park Avenue area are under hold and secures for a “threat investigation.”
In a tweet police said a call was placed over the internet, and seemed to be related to exam week.
No further details were immediately available.
**Update** Investigation is ongoing,the following has been learned: schools are leading into exam week, and it has determined that the call came in via…. voice over internet protocol (VOIP) type system.

In a separate incident, Peel police say several Brampton schools were also placed in hold and secures for an investigation into a suspicious male in the area of Meltwater Crescent and Long Branch Trail.
They have since been lifted.
