Man charged in connection with Eaton Centre stabbing on Raptors parade day

A 29-year-old man from Richmond Hill is facing multiple charges after four people were stabbed inside the Eaton Centre on the day of the Raptors victory parade.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Yonge and Dundas streets around 2 p.m. on June 17.

According to police, a man got into an argument with a group of men on the street. He then stabbed three men and a boy and then fled the area.

The victims were rushed to hospital in serious condition.

On Thursday, officers executed a search warrant in the area of Yonge Street and Major MacKenzie Drive area, and arrested Michael Oneil Donalds.

He has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault, four counts of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, and assault causing bodily harm.

He is expected to appear in court Friday morning.

There has been no word on if the stabbing was connected, in any way, to the Raptors parade.
