The province’s health minister will once again make an announcement on Wednesday related to the government’s push to “end hallway health care.”
Christine Elliott is scheduled to speak at 11 a.m. at a refurbished health care centre on Church Street.
It’s one of the province’s “re-activation centres” designed to house patients waiting for long-term care spaces but who no longer need the acute care of a hospital ward.
The announcement will be streamed live on this website.
Earlier this week, Elliott admitted it has taken longer than the year promised by Premier Doug Ford to end overcrowding in the province’s hospitals, but there have been improvements.
