York regional police are looking for help tracking down four more suspects wanted for a brazen jewelry store robbery in Markham last December.
Six people have already been arrested in connection with the heist on December 30 at around 6:25 p.m. inside Markville mall.
In a release, York police said the suspects arrived in two vehicles and entered the jewelry store wearing construction vests and equipped with firearms and hammers. “The suspects smashed the glass cases in the store and stole a quantity of jewelry,” police said.
Police further allege the suspects reported a suspicious package at the Markham GO train station just prior to the robbery.
“This was a very elaborate incident, certainly the element of calling in a separate suspicious package incident to try and distract police resources is something obviously very planned and elaborate,” Const. Laura Nicole told 680 NEWS.
The following suspects remain at large:
Ashley Nazir, 24
Devon Victor, 31
Jacob Cherry, 26
Jessica Moore, 25
