Motorcyclist killed in Etobicoke crash

A 26-year-old motorcyclist has died after a crash with a minivan in Etobicoke on Thursday night. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to get in touch with them.

A 26-year-old motorcyclist has died after a crash with another vehicle in Etobicoke on Thursday night.

Emergency responded to a call around 10:45 p.m. in the Dundas Street West and Chestnut Hills Crescent area.

Police said a motorcycle and a minivan collided.

The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition where he later died of his injuries.

The driver of the minivan remained at the scene. There has been no word on charges.

The intersection was closed as the Traffic Services reconstruction team investigates.

Police said they are trying to determine if speed may have been a factor in the crash.
