Man charged with allegedly selling pot outside CAFE in CityPlace

By News Staff

A 22-year-old man is facing Cannabis Control Act charges after allegedly selling pot on the same premises as one of the closed down locations of CAFE.

Police say they were called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. Friday night to reports of people selling narcotics at 66 Fort York Boulevard.

The man was arrested and charged with unlawful sale and unlawful distribution.

Cannabis, money, a debit machine and a radio was seized at the scene.

By-law officers have put cement blocks in front of multiple locations to prevent the illegal dispensaries from reopening, including the location on Fort York Boulevard in CityPlace.
