Toronto police are looking for a suspect who allegedly chocked a woman on a North York street.
Officers were called to reports of an assault at Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
A 24-year-old woman was walking along the street when a man approached her from behind and attempted to choke her.
She bit the man’s hand and began to scream, police said. Several people then began to come out of their homes and the man fled on foot.
The suspect is described as 19 to 21 years old, with a slim to medium build, dark blond hair, and clean-shaven. He was wearing a navy blue or black shirt, black shorts and black running shoes.
Police are reminding people in the area to be aware of their surroundings and report anything suspicious.
