An 18-year-old man and an underage suspect have been arrested for attempted murder after a shooting in Regent Park last week.

Last Wednesday, Toronto police were called to the area of Oak and Regent streets for reports of gunshots.

It’s alleged that two armed males fired several shots at a moving vehicle. There people were inside the vehicle at the time.

Police say several shots hit the vehicle but no one inside was injured.

Both male suspects then fled the area on foot.

The next day Mohammad Shafiq, 18, and a Young Person were arrested. Police found two firearms at the time of the arrest.

Both suspects face multiple charges including three counts of attempted murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Shafiq and the youth appeared in court on Friday.
