Woman dies after being pulled from water at Cherry Beach

A woman has died after being pulled from the water at Cherry Beach Park, police said Friday.

The woman was spotted in the water and pulled out at around 9 a.m.

Lifeguards performed CPR on the victim until emergency responders arrived at the scene.

She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
