One man has been taken to the hospital after a shooting in the Liberty Village area, police said Sunday.
Police said they were initially called to the area at around 4:27 p.m. after they received multiple calls for sounds of gunshots on East Liberty Street between Hanna Avenue and Strachan Avenue.
Police said callers also reported seeing a white-coloured SUV with several occupants fleeing the area at around the same time.
When police arrived, they found bullet holes in one of the residential highrises, along with shell casings.
At around 5:48 p.m., police said they located the male victim and he was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Toronto Police or leave an anonymous tip with CrimeStoppers.
