Toronto police have released security camera images of a vehicle sought in connection with a shooting in a North York neighbourhood on the weekend.

Police were called to the area of Florence Avenue and Yonge Street, near Sheppard Avenue East, around 2:15 p.m. Sunday for the sounds of gunshots.

After a brief search, police said they found a black Range Rover SUV with bullet holes on Florence.

Around 4 p.m. police said a man walked into hospital with a gunshot wound. His injuries were not life-threatening. At the time, investigators said they believed it was connected to the incident on Florence.

Police said according to reports, the Range Rover was parked on Florence when a white 2019 Toyota RAV4 pulled up and the people inside shot at the Range Rover. The driver of the RAV4 then fled the scene, heading west and turning north on Botham Road.

Police said the RAV4 is believed to have damage to a passenger side window as a result of the shooting. Auto repair shops and vehicle rental companies are being asked to notify police if they come across the vehicle.
