Brothers arrested after man viciously assaulted by 4 people

Toronto police say brothers have been charged after a man was allegedly beat unconscious with baseball bats in the city’s east end.

Police responded to a call for unknown trouble in the area of Thicketwood Drive and McCowan Road in Scarborough around 3:45 p.m. Saturday.

Police allege a man was beaten with baseball bats by four men who then drove away in a van.

The man was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries and he is now in stable condition.

Investigators say the two brothers, 18 and 21, have been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Police say they are still searching for the two other suspects.

Investigators say the suspects and the alleged victim were not known to each other.
