A 96-year-old man is in critical condition in hospital after he was struck by a vehicle in Scarborough.
Emergency crews were called to Warden and McNicoll avenues around 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
Toronto police Sgt. Brett Moore said the man was attempting to cross Warden between McNicoll and Bamburgh Circle, near where there are bus stops on either side of the road.
This is the same location where an 89-year-old man was struck and killed on Feb. 16 this year. He died on March 7.
Police initially said it was a fail-to-remain investigation, but later said the driver stopped a short distance away.
