Toronto police have released new information in the investigation of a deadly hit and run last August.

On Aug. 30, at around 10:23 p.m., a 35-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Sheppard Avenue East between Abbotsfield Gate and Palmdale Drive

Police said the victim was crossing Sheppard Avenue East from the south to the north side of the street when a vehicle struck her, knocking her down the ground.

Despite the efforts of first responders, the woman died at the scene.

Police said they are looking for a vehicle with dark, metallic grey paint.

“This paint colour was manufactured in Japan for Mitsubishi vehicles, between the years of 2005-2009 (possibly a Lancer or Outlander model),” a police news release said Saturday. “Glass was also found in the victim’s clothing, confirming that there was windshield damage.”

Police said they are appealing to auto body and car dealerships to contact investigators if they have repaired a vehicle that matches this description.
