SIU investigates after man injured during arrest in Brampton

The province’s Special Investigations Unit has been called in after a person was injured during a police investigation in Brampton on Friday morning.

Peel Regional Police said the robbery squad was in the area of Kings Cross Road looking for at least four people.

The officers were attempting to arrest one of the suspects and the person sustained an injury of some sort, police said.

The nature of the person’s injuries has not been released.

The SIU is an arms-length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
