An 82-year-old woman is dead and another woman is injured after they were struck by a vehicle in the city’s west end.
Emergency crews were called to the St. Clair Avenue West and Castleton Avenue, near Runnymede Road, just after 10 a.m. Monday.
The second woman, believed to be in her 60s, suffered serious injuries.
It appears the two women were trying to cross St. Clair mid-block when they were struck by the vehicle, which was heading south on Castleton and attempting to make a left turn.
This latest fatality came just a few hours after a pedestrian was struck and killed at Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East.
