A 27-year-old man is in hospital after shots were fired at an Uber overnight in Flemingdon Park.

Toronto police said the vehicle was in the Don Mills Road and Gateway Boulevard area, just north of the Don Valley Parkway, around 1:30 a.m. Friday when an SUV pulled up beside the Uber and started firing.

The SUV then fled the scene.

Paramedics said the victim, who was a passenger in the Uber, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The Uber driver was shaken up by the incident but looked over by paramedics at the scene and determined to be not injured.

No further details have been released on the suspect or the vehicle description.
