Police seek 2 suspects after man shot in city’s northwest end

A man is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a daytime shooting in the city’s northwest. Mark Douglas with the search for two suspects, and what nearby residents say they heard.

Toronto police say they’re looking for two suspects after a man in his 20s was shot at Islington Avenue and Duncanwoods Drive on Thursday morning.

Police were called to the area around 10 a.m.

Police say the victim was in a white Mercedes when he was shot. Upon arrival at the scene police found bullet holes in the vehicle. Around a dozen shell casings were recovered.

The victim suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police say they’re looking for two shooters described as skinny males. One was wearing a black jacket, the other a white/blue jacket. It’s not yet clear if they fled on foot or in a vehicle.

An investigation is ongoing and police are canvassing the area and gathering surveillance video from the area.
