Teen charged in fatal North York shooting

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in North York this summer.
Alexis Charles, 46, was found suffering from gunshot wounds in an industrial area on Toryork Road near Weston Road and Finch Avenue early in the morning on August 25.
He was pronounced dead on the scene. At the time of the shooting, investigators said they believed it was targeted. There was also a large party still going on in the area.
The teenager was arrested on Wednesday and is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
He was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday at 10 a.m. He cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
