Police are investigating after a pickup truck was found with bullet holes at the border of North York and Markham.

Toronto police were called Burnt Meadoway near Don Mills Road and Steeles Avenue East just after 10 a.m. Monday.

Investigators believe the vehicle is related to a shooting in Richmond Hill on Sunday night.

In that incident, officers with York Regional Police were called to a parking lot near Highway 404 and Major Mackenzie Drive around 8 p.m.

Police said a white pickup truck drove up to two parked tow trucks and the passenger in the pickup started shooting at the driver in one of the tow trucks. The pickup truck was last seen heading southbound on the 404. No injuries were reported.

Police said the vehicle found matches the description of one of the vehicles involved in the shootout.

York regional police has taken over the investigation.
