Suspect sought in Bathurst and Finch area sexual assault investigation

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an alleged sexual assault on Friday.

It was reported that around 12:30 a.m. a woman entered an apartment building in the Bathurst Street and Finch Avenue West area, and was followed by a man she did not know.

The man allegedly approached the woman from behind and sexually assaulted her.

He had fled the scene by the time police arrived.

He is described as between 25 and 30 years of age, five feet two inches to five feet four inches tall, with a medium build. At the time, he was wearing a grey winter coat, red/maroon hooded sweatshirt, dark coloured pants, black running shoes, carrying a duffel bag, and a Yukon winter hat.

Police have released a security image of the suspect. Anyone with information is being asked to contact investigators.
