4 suspects arrested in Etobicoke for alleged robberies across the GTA

Four robbery suspects have been arrested in Etobicoke after being pursued by York police from Brampton.

Toronto police say they were called to assist York police around 8 p.m. as they were tracking suspects involved in alleged robberies across the GTA. York police had attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled the scene.

Officers tracked the suspects to Etobicoke where the suspect vehicle was stopped by Toronto police.

One person was immediately arrested and three others fled the scene.

Shortly after, the remaining three suspects were apprehended for robbery and are being taken back to York region to be processed there.

No injuries were reported.

There was a heavy police presence in the area of Royal York Road and Eglinton Avenue while they looked for the suspects.
