Extreme cold weather alert issued for Toronto

The City of Toronto has issued an extreme cold weather alert are expected to drop to a low a minus 7 C overnight.

With the wind chill, tonight’s low will feel closer to -20 so bundle up and stay inside if you can.

Due to the alert, Metro Hall will be opening up as a warming centre as of 7 p.m. Wednesday.

It will still be chilly on Thursday morning with the windchill, but will get up to a high of -2 C by the afternoon.

The alert is in effect until further notice.

This is Toronto’s third extreme cold weather alert of 2020.
