Peel regional police are looking for help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a hate crime investigation.
Police say they are investigating three separate, but similar, incidents that occurred last month in Mississauga and Brampton.
Police were called to a parking lot in the area of Mavis and Britannia roads around 8:30 p.m. on January 30th by a 35-year-old woman. She alleged a man was yelling racial comments and making threats. She was not injured.
The suspect is also believed to have yelled racial slurs at people in two separate incidents earlier that same evening in Brampton, say police.
Those two incidents took place in two separate plazas on Hurontario Street between Ray Lawson Boulevard and Steeles Avenue West.
Police have released video of the suspect that appears to have been taken during one of the three incidents.
Police say the suspect was operating a silver two-door Honda that had a rear non-Ontario licence plate with the number 284888. He is described as white and in his 40s. On the night in question he was wearing a black hooded sweater, a black t-shirt and a black baseball hat.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is being asked to contact police.
