A snow squall watch has ended for the city of Toronto has ended after snow continued to fall across the GTA overnight.
Snow squall warnings have also ended for areas to the north and west of the city including Peel Region, York-Durham, Barrie, Hamilton and Niagara.
“Periods of brief but intense snowfall are expected,” Environment Canada warned earlier this afternoon. “This squall is capable of producing quick accumulations of 2 to 5 centimetres an hour.”
“Visibilities will be rapidly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow.”
Timing the "heaviest" of the squall. There will be flurries outside of these windows, but hopefully will give you an idea of when NOT to be out on the roads in your area during the heaviest, most intense snow pic.twitter.com/POjLwRYIHl
