Man found shot dead outside former Humber River Hospital site

By News staff

A man is dead after he was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside the former site of the Humber River Hospital early Monday morning.

Toronto police said patrol officers found the victim at a bus stop in front of the Reactivation Care Centre near Church and Jane streets in the city’s Weston neighbourhood at around 2:30 a.m.

The victim, 36-year-old Rohan Rose of Toronto, had been shot several times at close range and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, police said.

Police said it appears the victim was dumped from a dark-coloured vehicle that then fled the area.

“Homicide investigators would like to speak to anyone that Rohan was in contact with over the last few days,” police said in a news release Monday afternoon.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police directly or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

This is the city’s 13th homicide of the year.
