Reputed Hamilton mobster Pasquale “Pat” Musitano has been shot and killed in a brazen daytime shooting in Burlington.

Halton Regional Police say the shooting took place in a parking lot at 484 Plains Road just after 1 p.m. on Friday.

The 52-year-old Musitano was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim, who was not identified, was transported to hospital in serious condition with gunshot wounds.

Police say the suspects fled the scene in a newer model grey 4-door sedan, similar to an Infiniti Q50 with a sunroof. Investigators say the vehicle will have fresh damage to the driver’s side door.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to public safety.

Investigators said they wish to speak to witnesses who may have been in the area at around 1 p.m. Video from security or dash-board vehicle cameras are also being sought. Tips can also be left anonymously with Crime Stoppers.

Just over a year ago, Musitano survived a similar attack on his life when he was shot multiple times following a visit to his lawyer’s office in Mississauga.

Musitano’s younger brother Angelo was shot to death in 2017 outside his home in Waterdown, near Hamilton. The case surrounding his death remains unsolved.
