2 charged in stabbing death of man, 22, near Dundas and Ossington

Two men have been charged in the stabbing death of a 22-year-old man in the area of Dundas Street and Ossington Avenue.

Police say a male victim was found lying on the sidewalk with stab wounds on Baden Street around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Remi Almeida of Toronto.

Eric Medeiros, 21, and Jose Pereira De Medeiros, 48, both of Toronto were arrested Sunday and charged with second-degree murder.

They were scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

This is the 40th homicide reported in Toronto for 2020.
